What the Scheme is all about

We would like to introduce you to our holiday home exchange section, where members can browse a listing of owners holiday homes who are willing to offer these for exchange. Preferred (reciprocal) swap destinations can be seen on the listings, but many opt just to welcome global offers.

In most cases such schemes involve the clients principal home, whereby an exchange would need to take place simultaneously, making timing difficult to arrange. Also clients may have reservations concerning privacy. With our proposal, involving clients’ holiday homes, privacy will not be an issue and the timing of an exchange can be open, since it could take place at any time of the year. It will be possible to swap a summer holiday cottage here ( in the UK for example) for a summer holiday in the Southern hemisphere during January for a villa by the sea, or perhaps a last minute skiing vacation in Canada.

How the Scheme works

Simply, current members can after browsing the list, contact others whose property they have selected for the reciprocal exchange. Please bear in mind that often others are not necessarily looking for an exact copy of their holiday home in another country, since many, are looking for something completely different. Say for instance, if you have a city apartment this could be very desirable to exchange with another, who has a holiday villa next to a golf course. Therefore be adventurous , and ask if the other member is interested in an exchange.

When an exchange is agreed, one party will have a credit for usually the same number of days, but even this can be negotiated. Normally the individuals would expect the same standard as you offer your rental clients. i.e.. clean towels, bedding etc. as a minimum. Others may even go further and agree to swap vehicles etc., this is entirely up to the individuals to negotiate their conditions, and in our experience people are more than willing to extend a welcome and make their fellow members comfortable.
